Spells are some of the best cards in the game, a big chunk of the F/L List is taken up by Spells, so having a way to prevent them from being used is great. A great card in matchups that rely on Spells but don’t have any Spellcasters while you do. Secret Village is a Field Spell that prevents your opponent from activating Spell Cards if you control a Spellcaster monster while your opponent doesn’t. Searchable with Terraforming and Metaverse, with more ways to play it and more support to use with it, I can see Secret Village hanging around.Īdvanced-4/5- Sometimes a main deck choice, a great side deck choice, but you need to run Spellcasters as a strategy, otherwise it isn’t useful to you.Īn anti-Spell Field Spell makes sense for an archetype full of Spellcasters that rely on Spells, so today we look at Secret Village of the Spellcasters. It makes me happy to see this card has risen in popularity. It is a side deck card for sure if you are running a Spellcaster-based strategy, and is incredibly useful against spell-heavy decks like True Draco and Sky Striker. This card has seen a rise in play since more forms of good Spellcasters have been released in recent memory, alongside with archetypes like Witchcrafter and Altergeist. If you don’t have one, you aren’t playing spells.
